Allow me to introduce myself

I was born and raised in Western New York in an Italian-American family, where family, connection, and showing up for one another were always important. Although my husband, our four children, and I now call North Carolina home, New York will always be a part of who I am.

My husband and I met in college, and soon after, the military took us across states—and eventually across the world. After 16 years as a military spouse, I feel deeply connected to and honored to serve military families and the communities that support them.

I also know that military life can be hard on a family and a marriage. Like most couples, we’ve had seasons that stretched us, challenged us, and pushed us to grow. Those experiences shaped not only who I am, but the therapist I’ve become. They gave me a deep respect for the complexity of relationships, the weight families carry, and the resilience people often don't recognize in themselves.

I’ve always felt drawn to helping others. After years of volunteering and supporting military families, I finally took the leap into graduate school and pursued Marriage and Family Therapy. I chose MFT because I wanted to understand the systems that shape us—the relationships, families, experiences, and patterns that influence how we communicate, connect, disconnect, and find our way back to one another.

My family and I have settled here in Southern Pines, NC, and are so proud to call the Sandhills our home!

About me as a Therapist ~

About me as a Therapist ~

During graduate school, I discovered that I loved working with individuals just as much as couples and families. Working with teens, young adults, and adults deepened my understanding of trauma, anxiety, identity, life transitions, and the ways our internal struggles often intersect with our relationships.

One of the greatest privileges of this work is helping people recognize that they are not broken. Often, they’ve simply been carrying too much, for too long.

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches rather than believing there is one right way to do therapy. I don't believe in cookie-cutter treatment. Your therapy should reflect you—your goals, personality, relationships, values, and what actually feels useful in your life.

Sometimes you need space to process. Sometimes you need help untangling patterns. Sometimes you need practical tools or a little accountability. Most of us need some combination of all of it.

What you can expect from me is warmth, honesty, curiosity, and a very human approach to therapy. I’m trauma-informed, relational, and genuinely invested in the people I work with. I also believe therapy can hold a little humor. Life is hard enough; if we can find something to laugh about along the way, I consider that a win.

Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can show up as yourself—without performing, minimizing, or pretending you have it all together.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. You just have to be willing to start.

I'm glad you found your way here, and I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
